Dinner,
at your table.

Rangya cooks a fine dinner in your home. A tasting menu written for your guests, cooked in your kitchen, served one course at a time. You host. We do everything else.

Most private chefs cook a restaurant menu in your house. We write a menu for the six people at your table, shop for it that morning, and leave your kitchen cleaner than we found it.

How it works

Four steps.
You do one.

The only thing we need from you to start is the number of guests and a date. Everything after that is a short WhatsApp conversation.

1You

Send the number of guests and a date

The form at the bottom of this page. We reply on WhatsApp within a few hours.

2Together

We write the menu with you

Italian, Japanese or both. Allergies, dislikes, the one dish someone has to have. The per-guest quote comes with it.

3You

A deposit confirms the date

Once paid, the evening is yours. We shop the morning of, so the balance settles after dinner.

4Us

We arrive, cook, serve, clean

About two hours before your guests. Courses paced to the table. Kitchen left cleaner than we found it.

The quote

What's included.
And what isn't.

Said plainly so the per-guest quote has no surprises in it. Pricing depends on the menu, so it's quoted after the short consultation rather than listed here.

Included

  • The chef and a server for the evening, setup to clean-down
  • All ingredients, shopped the morning of your dinner
  • Menu consultation on WhatsApp, dietary needs built into the courses
  • Plating and service, one course at a time, paced to your table
  • A clean kitchen when we leave. Every pot, every surface

Not included

  • Wine and drinks. We suggest pairings per course; you buy what you like
  • Tableware and glassware. We use yours. Ours can be brought in as an add-on
  • Tables above 12. That's an event, not a private dinner. Ask anyway

If your kitchen is small, tell us. The menu gets planned to fit it, not the other way round.

Request a date

Two things:
how many, and when.

Fill this in and it opens WhatsApp with your details ready to send. We reply within a few hours with a menu and a per-guest quote. A deposit confirms your date. Nothing is paid on this page.

Questions

Things people ask.

How far ahead should I book?
A week is comfortable. Three or four days is possible if the date is free. Weekends go first, so if it's a Saturday, ask early.
Can you handle allergies and dietary restrictions?
Yes, and we'd rather know at the menu stage than at the table. Vegetarian, pescatarian, no pork, no shellfish, gluten-free, nut allergies. Tell us once and the whole menu is written around it, not one substituted plate.
What do I need to have in my kitchen?
A working hob and oven, a fridge with some space, and a sink. We bring knives, pans, plating tools and everything else. If your kitchen is small, say so and we plan the menu to fit it.
How does the deposit work?
Once we agree the menu and the quote, a deposit confirms your date. It comes off the final bill. The balance is settled after dinner, because we shop the morning of and the final count can move by a guest or two.
Which areas do you cover?
Victoria Island first, and the neighbourhoods around it: Ikoyi, Lekki Phase 1, Oniru. Further out is possible for larger tables. Ask and we'll tell you honestly.
